A very timely word prompt for day six of #augustbreak2018. Spacious. Downloading photos from a recent walk along the north coast cliffs near Bonne Nuit, I couldn't help thinking how appropriate they were for this prompt.
If ever you need to clear your head and feel a sense of space, this is the perfect place to walk. Last week the visibility was incredible. The fourteen miles to France was a mere jump away. Oh for a bridge to expedite our holiday escapes to the continent. You could almost touch the wind turbines.
In the other direction the island of Sark was nestling in an azure sea. Waves lapped onto a stony beach and bracken and heather were adding to the beautiful colour palette of blues,greens,purple and orange.
Gatekeepers in their dozens were flitting and twirling in the sunshine. Further inland, Walls were perching on the crisp leaves, underfoot.
Cattle were definitely feeling the heat of the day, in their field with a view. Perched up high I caught what I thought was a robin, looking closely I'm having my doubts.
So where do you head to get a sense of space? Have a good week, wherever you are.
