I finally got a chance to play with my L'oreal Open Eyes Blue and Gold harmony palette. I'm soo psyched to share that these palettes that are great to use for dry and foiled application. That means higher pigmentation and more vibrancy in our makeup looks.

Blue Harmony is a palette for those who enjoy smokey blue eye makeup or brightening their lids with a light blue eyeshadow. While the Gold Harmony is best a golden bronze smokey eyes and creating various neutral eye makeup looks that are safe for work.
In this makeup look, I used the Blue Harmony as the basis of the whole look creating a smokey blue eyes.I used the first two bottom eyeshadow layering them from lid to the center of the crease. I used the lightest of blue (2nd from the top) to blend the harsh line on the mid crease. I used the silver eyeshadow in this palette along my tear duct but that didn't work as I expected to. Instead, it gave a glittering look on the eye makeup.
I used the Gold Harmony palette to accentuate my brow bone since I find this a lot more flattering on my skin tone. It's a very nice beige that almost look like MAC Rice Paper.

Here are the finished eye makeup look. Took pictures with my Canon G11 and I'm really loving the result. It's a lot easier to zoom in and out on my eyes and focusing it a lot easier.
What I love...
1. It's highly pigmented wet or dry application.
2. The eyeshadows are easy to blend.
3. Eyeshadow doesn't harden even when you use a wet brush on it.
4. Easy to use and instruction provided at the back. Really great for makeup newbies.
5. Stays put a lot longer than regular eyeshadows.
6. Compact and light and easy to travel with.
7. Readily available in all L'oreal Paris counters in the country.
8. Rivals many of my other makeup palette.
What I dont...
1. Too shimmery for everyday use for some women.
2. Priced at Php875, many might find this a bit expensive.
3. The small eyeshadows are a bit coarse and too glittery.
Overall, this palette will find itself useful for a girl like me who frequently put on makeup and likes her eyeshadows very vibrant and out there. These palette really means to open your eyes buy accentuated your peepers. It's richly pigmented and could last for long hours. Many girls are still new to concept of foiling effect or wet aplication and they are quite missing a lot.
L'oreal Open Eyes makes it possible for the regular women the joys of applying her eyeshadow and not to work too much on layering and blending it. It really is one of the best palettes i've encountered lately that is less than a thousand pesos. Great for makeup newbies and for us who loves the foiled effect. :)
much love,
Shen
